Moriah and Ryan practice their "blocking."

Below:  Sue explains the history of theatre to the students, starting with the need to re-tell stories from the earliest days of civilization.  Ryan and Moriah play a cave-dad and his daughter trying to figure out why their story doesn't quite work...

"From the earliest moments of man on earth, the need to re-tell stories has been a prime cornerstone of our humanity.   Throughout our history, people have enjoyed this art form, especially when told in the inspirational realm of theatre.  The Ancient Greeks built their theatres to last thousands of years, they thought theatre was so important!  And in "Theatrical Fantastical," we will take students on the magical journey of a good story told well.   Using "Little Red Riding Hood" as the base story, our actors will show how such a simple play can be enjoyed in all different theatrical forms -- from the drama of the Greek Classical Chorus, to the fun of Melodrama and stock characters; from the marvelous poetry of Shakespeare, to the big splash of a big Broadway musical!   "Theatrical Fantastical" is a fun journey that will delight students, and encourage their imaginations for sharing the stories of their own lives!"

Lasso the best assembly program for your school!

The "Theatrical Fantastical" troupe now brings your children the chance to watch their beloved American Tall Tales come alive!

The stories begin...
